New York Yankees (and others) Play Neil Diamonds 'Sweet Caroline' in Support of the City of Boston

Every team has their own seventh-inning stretch tradition. The Yankees paly 'God Bless America.' The Cubs have someone sing 'Take Me Out to the Ball Game.' For the Red Sox it's Neil Diamonds classic tune 'Sweet Caroline.'

As a show of support to the people of Boston the Yankees decided to take part in the Red Sox tradition at Tuesday night's game, but during the third inning (not the seventh).

It may sound like something that is pretty simple, but ask any die hard Red Sox or Yankees fan and they will tell you it isn't.

Nice move New York.

[UPDATED]
As it turns out there were several cities that played Sweet Caroline during games Tuesday night. Here is a compilation (at least I think it is) of them from MLB.com; love the guy eating his ice cream and looking bored (too funny).
