Brian Urlacher to the Minnesota Vikings or Denver Broncos? Not So Fast...

Brian Urlacher, at one time one of the most feared linebackers in the NFL, needs a job. For a while the rumor mill had him close to getting one with the hated rival of former team, but the word coming from Minnesota is much different.

If that wasn't bad enough, it turns out that the Denver Broncos were never really interested either.

Come on! Someone has to want me!

Rumors floated around the web early in the day Tuesday that the veteran linebacker was talking to the Minnesota Vikings and possibly near a deal to join the team. The Vikings had previously said that they were not interested, but didn't close the door on possibly revisiting the notion at a later date.

So when the rumors started to float around the buzz was understandable. However, it was completely unfounded. The word now is that the Vikings have no intention of bringing him in barring unforeseen circumstances, and are hoping to find their starting linebackers in-house.

But then there is Denver, right? Nope.

The word from Denver is that they are not looking to bring in Urlacher and haven't talked to him or his people.

Ugh. You would think that there would be a little more interest in someone with Urlacher's track record, but there hasn't really been any real bites. It's beginning to look like he might not get a serious look until folks start to get hurt in training camp.
