When it Rains it Pours for Titus Young

The hits keep coming for Titus Young. After having a really bad week where he got arrested three times the free agent wide receiver's family has shared Titus's mental health issues with the world, publicly mulled over whether they should bail him out, needless to say his career is over.

Now it looks like he is going to have a hard time being a dad to his son.

His ex-girlfriend and mother of his son as granted a restraining order banning Titus from seeing her or their son. The reason is pretty simple. Due to his mental health issues she is afraid of what he might do.

When I heard this I couldn't help but think that is BS. There are plenty of people that take seroquel (which he didn't always take) for mental issues. Yes, it is a doozy of a drug, but it sounds like she's being a little opportunistic.

Then I read about what she's said he did. Wow; kind of surprised that the restraining order only requires him to stay 100 yards away.
“He would say things like, ‘I understand why O.J. killed his wife,’” she wrote. “He got mad and yelled at my neighbors and tried to fight multiple people that he doesn’t even know.”
She went on to describe a scenario that sounds a lot like Titus was seriously obsessing over her to the point where she had reason to be concerned. The icing on the cake had to be when he took their son to San Diego and robbed a gas station--while holding his son.

Yeah, this dude is messed up, and really doesn't need to be around kids.

His family has tried to say that his mental health issues are due to a concussion he got early in his time with the Lions, but the team has no record of him having one. It would not be the first time that a player hid a concussion though.

The problem with that is he's had issues long before he signed with the Lions. He missed most of his sophomore year in college due to disciplinary issues.

Good luck to you Titus. You're going to need it man. Hopefully this time you'll get the help you need.
