Listen to the clip and you'll agree with most of the free world--the kid nailed it! As good as he was, for some odd-reason there were a lot of people that took to Twitter to bash him; not just because they didn't like his singing.
But because he was a Mexican-American.
Sebastian's take on the people bashing him was absolutely perfect not to mention incredibly mature:
Please do not pay attention to the negative people. I am an American living the American Dream. This is part of the American life.

How you can hate a kid that can sing like that is amazing, but lots of people did. As a show of support the Spurs brought him back to sing again prior to Game 4. Both head coaches shook his hand afterwards. Earlier in the day Greg Popovich actually spoke to the media saying more than a couple words.
“Well, I would like to say that I would be shocked or surprised by the comments. But given the fact that there’s still a significant element of bigotry and racism in our nation, I’m not surprised. It still plagues us, obviously. And what I was surprised by was how proud these idiots were of their ignorance, by printing their names next to their comments.
“[De La Cruz is] a class act. Way more mature than most his age. And as much as those comments by the idiots saddens you about your country, he makes you feel that the future could be very bright.”Well said Pop. Well said.
