Is That Legendary Notre Dame Football Coach Holding a USC Jersey? And Smiling?

When a lot of guys head to the studio after their coaching or playing careers are over they tend to make a point to bash their former team in order to attempt to prove they are 'impartial.' Not former Notre Dame coach Lou Holtz though. He's maintained his love of the Fighting Irish ever since he stepped into the studio.

So then why on Earth is he holding a USC jersey and smiling?

As it turns out the whole scene was really something pretty simple and innocent according to the Reddit user that posted the pic. Apparently he tried to get Lou to wear the jersey, but he politely declined saying there wasn't time. When Lou talked about autographing it the soldier said that would be a sacrilege, Lou agreed, and they parted ways.

So relax Notre Dame fans. Nothing happened.
