ESPN is in trouble and they know it. FOX has proven they are willing to bet the farm on their new sports network, finally giving the sports giant some serious competition. If you follow the news closely you've probably noticed ESPN shedding employees and talent. Some they have laid off or fired; others are jumping ship before the iceberg hits.
Maybe since they know that they better have a few good people in studio when Fox Sports 1 kicks off in August they brought in a former Indianapolis Colts great--offensive lineman Jeff Saturday .
"Offensive linemen make some of the best analysts because they understand the nuances of the game and they typically have fun personalities — Jeff definitely fits this mold," senior coordinating producer Seth Markman said. "It's also no accident he played center for two NFL MVPs in Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers."...
