Mariano Rivera Gets Awesome Gift From Minnesota Twins

No one would have blamed New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera if he had retired last season when he went down with a season ending knee injury. He is a World Series winner several times over. He has certainly been paid well, and he is the career leader in saves.

He had nothing left to prove, and while it sucks to retire because of an injury no one would have faulted him.

So why return? Because of the swag of course!

This year is going to be the last season for Rivera, and as he makes the rounds throughout the league he has been collecting some nice parting gifts from his many opponents that will be happy not to have to face him anymore.

Tuesday night prior to facing off with the Minnesota Twins he got what has to be one of the more creative ones--a rocking chair named the 'Chair of Broken Dreams' made up of bats shattered against Rivera.

The Twins did admit that not every bat was broke by him, but some were (its the thought that counts).
