It has not been a good couple of weeks for the New England Patriots, and they have their now-former tight end, Aaron Hernandez to thank for it. With the spotlight that his arrest for murder has brought to the team it has become pretty apparent that the Patriot Way is not anything more than a half-way house (franchise) for some of the worst of the worst the NFL has.
Not everyone on the roster is a bad egg of course; they've just had plenty over the recent years, but since they kept winning no one really took much notice. It's safe to say that these guys could use a change right about now.
Which they got on Wednesday.
They changed the logo. The one on the left is what fans have grown accustomed to, and the one on the right is the new one (obviously).
How new remains to be seen. The word is that the team is not going to change anything on the helmet so I guess this only really applies to apparel. What better way to get over all the turmoil than to spend $50 on a hoodie with the new logo?
