New York Giants Linebacker Dan Connor Arrested at Philly Airport

Another day, another NFL player arrested. This time the dubious distinction goes to New York Giants linebacker Dan Connor for carrying a knife at the airport.

The 27-year old veteran was travelling through the Philadelphia International Airport early Saturday morning when a routine scan of his bag alerted authorities to a switchblade inside. A TSA officer notified police who arrested him as he was attempting to enter the terminal.

He was charged with possession of an offensive weapon and later released on his own recognizance.

It will be surprising if anything more than a fine comes from the charge. The Penn State graduate does not have a history of legal issues. Heck, if it wasn't for Aaron Hernandez this incident would likely not even make the news.

The extent of his "trouble-making" came during his sophomore season with the Nittany Lions when he was suspended for his role in a series of prank calls that began to border on harassment.
