Say It Isn't So! Coco Crisp Shaves His Afro!

The most epic afro in baseball--if not sports in general--is gone. Oakland A's outfielder Coco Crisp decided prior to Tuesday's game that enough was enough. He needed his helmet to quit flying off every time he ran down the base path--so the 'fro had to go.

It made such a difference that he had to get fitted for new caps and a new batting helmet prior to Tuesday's game. I couldn't find a picture of him without his helmet of cap on, but you can tell from the way his helmet fits (because its actually on) in the picture that there is a lot less material under that sucker now.
