Ask any coach and he or she will tell you that it is not necessary for teammates to like each other; they just need to be able to play together. If you ask they will also tell you that it sure doesn't hurt if they do happen to be friends.
Because when you have that sort of relationship off the field it makes it so much easier to trust your teammate is going to do his job on the field.
Thanks to Bulldogs quarterback Aaron Murray we have plenty of proof that a good number of the guys are friends. Murray posted video of the guys on Instagram riding scooters down Milledge Ave--right in time for rush week on sorority row.
And if that isn't enough proof that these guys just want to have fun check out the guys channeling their best boy band impersonation in the locker room (because Back Street is back baby).
Of course what better way to show a sign of friendship and respect than to give your friends something you know they will love and enjoy--like when running back Todd Gurley gave his offensive line an Oreo Cookie ice cream cake.
When a team gets along this well and has so much respect for each other you know good things are bound to happen--which is good because someone besides Alabama needs to win!
