Always pay attention. That was one of the first things I can remember my little league coaches telling me when I first gave baseball a try. Why? Because the moment you do not is when that ball is going to appear to come out of nowhere and nail you in the face, chest, family jewels, etc...
Starting pitcher Brad Peacock got that reminded Friday night against the Los Angeles Angels when he looked away and the umpire threw him the ball and hit him in the chest.
It doesn't look like he got him too hard, but it certainly looks like it was hard enough to wake him up.
