Notre Dame's Receivers Back QB Tommy Rees With Sweet Nickname

Notre Dame fans loved seeing Everett Golson emerge last season. With a trip to the national title game who wouldn't, right? That joy was equaled in the disappointment felt when news spread that he had been suspended for the coming season.

Worry not! The team still has senior Tommy Rees; the man that bailed the team and Golson out on occasion last season when Golson couldn't get it done. In spite of his track record, some folks are not real big on Rees--but the guys that will be catching balls from him this season certainly are.

Call it nothing, but anytime a guys are willing to put out a nickname--be it a silly one or otherwise--it tells me that the chemistry is at least there. We'll have to wait till game day to see if they can produce results or course, but at least for now there is hope they will be able to do just that.
