Roddy White Sends Questionable Tweets About Aldon Smith's DUI/Pot Arrest

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White has been hobbled by a high ankle sprain to start the season hence such a poor statistical start (seven catches for 56 yards through three games). The ankle has kept him from producing much on the field.

If only it could have kept him from sending some ill-advised tweets prior to the Falcons game against Miami.

I guess when the Falcons play late he doesn't have much to do prior to game time so he decided to watch some pregame action on NFL Countdown. During the broadcast the studio crew discussed the arrest of San Franciso 49er's linebacker Aldon Smith.

Something struck a chord with Roddy so he decided to tweet this:

What? These guys are just doing their jobs Roddy. Now yes, they might not be the greatest at it, but I don't think they said anything that was overly harsh. Come on man! Someone that is still intoxicated at 7 AM had to be pretty wasted, and to do it during the practice week?

Not a smart idea. It certainly doesn't show much dedication to your craft.

Roddy didn't stop there with his opinions.

What are you thinking man? Now you want to kick Smith while he's down? At first I thought you might be trying to get his back by attacking the studio crew, but apparently that is not the case.

This tweet made it seem like he was trying to distance himself from Smith.

The whole series is interesting to say the least. I don't get what he was trying to accomplish by accusing others of driving drunk. That made no sense--heck, the whole sequence didn't make sense and really just made White look like kind of a punk.

Next time your bored Roddy try just going to the stadium rather than tweeting.
