How Bad is Johnny Manziel Hurting?

Texas A&M will likely need to win out and get some help from other teams to have any hope of playing in the last BCS title game; possibly even one of the other BCS games as well. Johnny Manziel will also need some help if he is going to win an unprecedented second Heisman (that Oregon QB is not half bad).

But the team and fans are not so concerned about that right now. They want to know how the leader of their team is doing and if/when he will be back on the field again.

Details on the injury are hard to come by (at least I have not been able to find anything), but according to some reports Manziel was at practice Monday with his arm in a sling--not a good sign. The word on Tuesday though is that is arm is no longer in a sling and that he is expected to start against Vanderbilt on Saturday.

Vanderbilt does not have a great record, but they do have a talented squad with an offense that is capable of putting up a lot of points and is riding a high after beating Georgia last weekend.

The Commodores may be without starting quarterback Austyn Carta-Samuels who was injured and had to leave the game. He has been away from school due to a death in the family so the team has yet to get the chance to reevaluate his injury.
