Rugby is a tremendous game, and not unlike football, baseball, and basketball in that its players are intense, passionate people that are going to react--often strongly--to any perceived injustice on the field.
Like in this clip from a game in Georgia (after the jump).
For those that are not real familiar with the game, there are 15 players on the field for each team and just a single ref. At the level that these guys are playing there are also touch judges (sort of officials on the sideline). So basically you have three guys controlling the play of 30 on the field with the majority of the work falling to one man.
One man can't see it all so the players will sometimes regulate themselves with a few well places blows. Sometimes those blows can lead to more--and they did here in a brawl that involved everyone.
All 30 players.
Before you hit play--the top one is the whole thing just a lower quality clip. The one on the bottom is of higher quality and you can here a little crowd commentary as well.
Oh--and you are going to want to watch this multiple times. There is so much going on in this there is no way you can see it all in one view.
