Miami Hurricanes Needed the Force to Escape With a Win Over North Carolina

For much of Thursday's game against the North Carolina Tar Heels the Miami Hurricanes were not doing much to make Darth Vader happy. With four interceptions on the night by quarterback Stephen Morris there had to be another Jedi Master present that was more powerful than him.

And the force was definitely strong in him/her.

Morris's interceptions combined with the loss of running back Duke Johnson early put the Hurricanes in an early hole, but the team had an apprentice that was ready to prove he was up to the challenge--and he was!

Miami fed the ball to Dallas Crawford all night giving him 33 carries. He responded by grinding out 136 yards and scoring two touchdowns. The force was strong in him--especially when he made the three-yard plunge across the goal line with 16 seconds left to give Miami the lead, 27-23.

"We're resilient," Crawford said. "We've been through a lot over the years. It took a long time to get to this point. In years past, we probably would have lost this game. But it's all about believing, and that's what we did tonight."

Miami will look to go 7-0 when they take on Wake Forrest next week at Sun Life Stadium.
