Auburn's Nick Marshall Throws the Best Looking Ugly Pass You'll Ever See to Tie Alabama Late in Iron Bowl

Talk about a do or die situation! Late in the game; just a couple minutes on the clock; and too much ground to cover. I am sure that I'm not the only guy that thought Auburn was crazy to be running the ball time and time again with such little time on the clock, but than with 40 seconds left Nick Marshall passed to Sammie Coates and this happened:

It's no wonder it was such an ugly pass. Marshall had the ball tucked away as if to run in order to sell the run so when he went to pass right before crossing the line of scrimmage he didn't have time to grab the laces.

And that's okay.

Since Alabama bit so hard on the run Marshall probably could have thrown it underhand and he still would have been wide open.
