Clemson QB Tajh Boyd Injured in Win Over Georgia Tech

Clemson Tiger fans got a bit of a scare at the end of the the third quarter of Thursday night's game against Georgia Tech when their quarterback, Tajh Boyd, went down with an injury after a handful of defenders converged on him.

It looked bad when it happened--especially after Boyd stayed on the ground for a few minutes. He eventually did get up on his own and over to the sideline, but it wasn't long before he went to the locker room for treatment.

Early thoughts on the injury were not good:

It wasn't encouraging when this news was shared:

Word is that he has a bruised sternum and collarbone. He did eventually return to the sideline and threw the ball a little, but with the game well in hand there was definitely no need to risk further injury (final score 55-31 Clemson).

With the Citadel on deck next week it will be interesting to see how much Clemson plays him if at all. It sure would be a shame if they lost him prior to the South Carolina game at the end of the season.
