Early in the week some of the Oregon Ducks stated that they were tired of the Rose Bowl and didn't really have any interest in it. They were forgetting that it is one of the most prestigious bowl games in the history of college football. They've played in it. They've won it. Been there, done that, don't want to do it again.
Well-don't worry guys because after the way you were manhandled by Arizona Saturday the Rose Bowl committee doesn't want you!

The Wildcats and their bright red uniforms got on top early and didn't look back. Oregon had no answer for running back Ka'Deem Carey (48 carries for 206 yards and four TDs). The Wildcat defense did something unusual and forced Ducks QB Marcus Mariotta into two interceptions--his first of the season--and a fumble.

For the Ducks to get much more than the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl or something they will have to hope that Stanford loses to Notre Dame next week and they can win the Civil War against Oregon State.
If Tommy Rees can play lights out ball and Stanford gives their B+ plus game or less it is possible. However, they will have to get out of their funk and take it to a good Oregon State team that would like nothing more than to destroy the Ducks.
Should the stars align for Oregon; maybe--just maybe--they can still wrangle an invite to the Rose Bowl. That is, if they can beat Arizona State in the conference championship game...
