Blocks are one of the coolest things in basketball next to dunks of course. This one that a player for the Georgetown women's team attempted would have been one for the record books (or at least Sportscenter) had it worked--and been legal.
You have to salute the young lady for thinking outside the box, but I imagine her coach told her to try and stay within the rules next time--after asking her what the heck she was thinking when she did it.
In the end things still worked out for the Lady Hoyas. They beat Richmond 82-78.
