From time to time there is a story that just touches your heart; something that is nothing short of absolutely awesome. This week/month/year that story is of San Francisco's very own pint sized crime fighter, aka Batkid!

When not fighting crime Batkid goes by Miles Scott. His alter ego--a five year old from Northern California with leukemia (that is now in remission). Friday he got his wish granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He wanted to be a superhero like Batman.
The good people at Make-A-Wish are famous for making things come true and they managed to do just that for young Miles. From a special edition newspaper to a key to the city and a rescue of the Giants mascot the youngster lived a full day as the Caped Crusader.
This kind of thing took a tremendous amount of work and took a lot of cooperation by a lot of people to make it happen--and all just to make a five year old smile. Kind of warms your heart.
Excuse me while I tear up again; got something in my eye...
