Mark Ingram has First 100+ Yard Rushing Day of his Career

Prior to Sunday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram had rushed the ball just 21 times for 50 yards--a whopping 2.4 yards a carry. Suffice it to say that is not very good; not what anyone would expect from a former Heisman winner.

Like a lot of young guys he just needs a good game; a breakout game. It appeared that he got it Sunday night against the Cowboys.

From Bleacher Report
Alabama fans will remember the Ingram that showed up Sunday night. The big back could not be stopped by the Cowboys defense rumbling through them to the tune of 145 yards (his first 100+ yard game) on 14 carries for an average of 10.4 yards a carry.

In case you are new to the game of American football numbers like that are absolutely insane!

While that is a heck of a job by Ingram it has to be taken with a grain of salt. The Cowboys are on pace to give up a record number of yards this season.

So be excited for him, but be sure and keep it in context.
