The Denver Broncos reaffirmed their status as the team to beat in the AFC by handling the upstart Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football, but in the process the Broncos may have lost an important piece of their offensive machine for at least a week (maybe more)--former New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker.

Welker had to leave late in the game Sunday night. Welker had taken a couple of brutal hits from Chiefs defensive back Brandon Flowers during the night, and the team was concerned he may have a concussion--which he does.
With the care that is being given to concussions there is no telling just yet how long Welker will be held out--which sucks since the Broncos have the Patriots coming up next. After the way that Welker left New England is there a team that fans want to see him play more than the Patriots?
Is there a reunion of former players and teams that is more anticipated than this one (yes, even more than Peyton returning to Indianapolis)?
I think not.
