Can the Dallas Cowboys be Trusted?

It’s a familiar story for Cowboys fans, but one they are hoping will have a different ending rather than what they are accustomed to.

Fans of the Dallas Cowboys had plenty to be thankful for on Thanksgiving. Their team appeared to discover its running game with its running backs combining for 145 yards on 29 carries. The defense forced a pair of turnovers and really made the Raiders earn the majority of what they got.

They were of course the most thankful for what the end result—a win and control over their own destiny in the NFC East.

On the surface it appears that fans should be in seventh heaven, but as any longtime fan will tell you that is far from the case. They have seen the scenario too many times—the team looks good leading into December, but that flops worse than a fat guy slipping off the high dive. 

Is this year different? Can the fans have faith in the club? Can they trust that the team is not going to tank the last four games and finish on the outside of the playoffs looking in?

If you ask some of the guys on the team they’ll say you can trust them to get the job done this time....
