It has not been a good bowl season for the referees so far. Yeah, I know these guys are going to miss some calls. Even with the number of guys they have covering the action they are bound to miss some things. They are only human after all.
But the obvious things? No. No excuse for missing them.

This missed face mask ranks right up there with the referee failures during the
Texas Bowl and
Fight Hunger Bowl.
I am all for letting them play, but come one now--we have to keep it safe too!
