A.J. McCarron Responds to the Haters on Twitter Over Senior Bowl Snub

Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron has caused a little bit of a stir by turning down the opportunity to play in the Senior Bowl on January 25. Part of the surprise is likely that with the game in his backyard--Mobile, Alabama--so it is not like it will be hard for him to go. He would sure help boost ticket sales as well.

He doesn't want to play though, and most folks think he is making a huge mistake. It appears that he has gotten a little tired of catching all the flak folks have been throwing his way.

So he did like every person hi age does--he took to Twitter to fire back at the haters:

Playing can't help him. After winning multiple national championships his talents have already been on display on the biggest stage that college football has to offer. It is not likely he is going to look better with a group of guys he's barely practiced with in a game that is going to feature a watered down offense.

This game is for the guys that have something to prove and need a little more exposure to NFL scouts. A.J. has had more than enough.
