It was looking pretty ugly during the first half of the BCS title game for the Florida State Seminoles up until they decided to go with a fake punt attempt late in the first half. To call it a gutsy call would be an understatement. Had they failed to convert it would have given the ball back to Nick Marshall with a short field and plenty of time on the clock.
Should the Seminoles go into the half 28-3, well--I don't need to say how bad that would have been.

Florida State did manage to convert and a few plays later Devonta Freeman took the ball over from about 3 1/2 yards out to close the gap to 21-10.

With the Seminoles getting the ball to start the second half there is a good chance this one could turn into a close one in no time!
