Stanford Getting it Done on Offense and Defense in the Rose Bowl

When it comes to the bowl games unless your team is playing or you have money on the outcome you hope for a good contest (or at least I do). With the No. 4 and 5 teams in the nation playing the Rose Bowl had the makings of one--and so far after one have it has given fans just that.

The winner is likely going to be the team that makes the most plays on both sides of the ball (duh, right), and so far I'd have to say Stanford looks like they are going to get it done.

They came out strong running the ball behind Tyler Gaffney (11 carries, 79 yards, 1 TD), but in the second quarter they were shut out. No worries--the defense was more than happy to do its part by intercepting MSU QB Connor Cook and returning it for a touchdown.

The Spartans were able to respond with a touchdown before the end of the half to make the score at the half 17-14 Stanford.

Great football game so far...
