The Stanford Band is the Anti-Ohio State Band

The Ohio State Marching Band is known far and wide as the Best Damn Band in the Land and with good reason. The things they manage to do--well, they are impressive to say the least. I can only imagine the amount of practice those kids have to go through in order to pull off the things that they do. The Stanford Band--well, they are...ummm...uhhh...unique?

The mascot is ridiculous.

They look like they never practice together. They look ridiculous.

Rhythm? Unity? Nope.

Are they even playing instruments? Is that a sink? Skateboard? Random sign?

Have I mentioned the tree?

And their show was a salute to Snapchat? Was that founded by a Stanford grad or something?

I'll be honest. I had no idea what that was until someone pointed this pic out on Twitter:

For a moment I thought evil things about the band. You'd think they would have a little more respect for the Grand Daddy of them All, right? But that's how they always are.

Umm.Okay.To each his own I suppose.

I could easily go on a tirade about how bad they are, but Twitter has already done a pretty good job of that. It'll take me forever to embed the tweets here so just check out this post over at SBNation if you want to see them.

I can only imagine that these guys are accustomed to the verbal and virtual assault, and I imagine that they already have the perfect chant to use in reply:

"That's alright. That's okay. You're going to play/work for/ spend tons of money on merchandise that we own someday."

Damn.
