Blues Star T.J. Oshie Leads Team USA to Victory Over Russia! [GIFs]

I'll admit--I don't watch a lot of hockey during the NHL season; I'm more of a playoff time kind of guy (and more of a football, baseball, rugby and basketball fan). However, when it becomes a matter of national pride I'm like lots of people--Team USA is can't miss television for me!

So when I woke up this afternoon (it was a long night; sick, cranky kids and all) I watched the USA vs. Russia hockey game and loved every second of it--especially the performance America's new sweetheart T.J. Oshie put on in the shootout!

After three shooters have gone in an international shootout teams can send whomever they want. After watching his first Team USA must have seeen something they like so the young center took the final shots in the best of 8 for the Americans--and what a great decision it was!

Next to the Americans the Russians are expected to be one of the top contenders for gold in hockey--so a win at this juncture is a pretty good sign of things to come for Team USA!
