Dale Earnhardt Jr. Wins the Daytona 500 and Joins Twitter!

"Dale Earnhardt Jr.--you just won the Daytona 500 for the second time in your career! What are you going to do next?" If you are thinking he's going to say "Go to Disney World" you would be wrong.

No, instead one of the most popular and well known drivers in NASCAR joined Twitter.

Sometime after the race finally ended (following a 6-hr rain delay that included a tornado warning and mass confusion online and in the news when Fox started to run last year's race) and he exited the winner's circle Dale Jr. went to his computer, set up a Twitter account, and sent out his first tweet:


Whatever made him decide to do it now is a mystery, but fans are sure glad to have him. As of 12:22 PM ET he already has 362,000 followers. (Update: Make that 364K as of 12:28).
