Johnny Manziel: Texans Will Regret Not Drafting Me

Jadeveon Clowney has made it clear that he wants to be the No. 1 pick, and it would not be a bad idea to pair him up with J.J. Watt. Blake Bortles has mentioned it as well, but the one guy that has yet to say anything is Johnny Manziel.

That is, until now.

In a recent interview in the Houston Chronicle Manziel opened up and talked at length about what he's been doing, what he wants to do, and where he wants to go in the draft--he absolutely wants to be the next quarterback of the Houston Texans.
"I want everybody from the janitor at Reliant Stadium to the front office executive assistant all the way up to (owner) Bob McNair to say, 'This kid is 100 percent, can't miss. This is who we want being the face of our program. We want the Texas kid staying in Texas and leading the Texans.'"
'Texas kid staying in Texas and leading the Texans'--it doesn't get any clearer than that. It's a sentiment that fans across the Lone Star will heartily agree with as well. However, Manziel does not have his head in the clouds. He knows it might not happen.

He knows there is a chance he could fall down to the Jaguars--another quarterback starved team--or the Cleveland Browns. Should he fall to the Jags he is going to relish the two chances each season that he will get to show the Texans they made a mistake passing on him.
"It would be the worst decision they've ever made," he says, smiling. "I'd be in the same division playing against them twice a year. Sorry, but you just turned that chip on my shoulder from a Frito into a Dorito."
Some will call that Manziel being cocky and arrogant. Most will recognize it for what it is--a intense desire to play and be the best.
