Limited Edition Team USA Sweaters Going For Thousands on eBay (really)

Our pee wee and little league coaches like us to think that it is not important how you look but how you play the game. The wide array of alternate uniforms among college football (and other sports) tells us that is not quite the case (at least not anymore).

However, when Team USA marched out during the opening ceremony of the Winter Games says different--but for some reason people are willing to pay thousands for one of those sweaters.

The sweaters were made by Ralph Lauren and only 324 were sold to the general public for the hefty price of $595--and they sold out fast! Since the games have started though a number have popped up on eBay, and have gone for an even higher price.

Some are going in the $1000 range, but some have gone for anywhere from $2000-4000. As usual, the bigger they are the more expensive. An extra large one went for $4850 (which could be one guy is asking $7495).

Capitalism at its best; love it!
