Ole Miss linebacker Denzel Nkemdiche has already proven that he is a standout football player with a possible shot at the NFL in another year or two if he keeps improving. His play has garnered him a lot of attention by the media and blogo-sphere--common for players of his caliber.
However, sometimes that attention focuses on things he'd rather not go nationwide--like getting arrested while celebrating his birthday.

Yeah--that birthday; the one that you were told you had a great time celebrating, but you don't really remember a whole lot.
No details have emerged as to what he may have done to warrant getting arrested, but according to the Clarion Ledger at around midnight Saturday he was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct and failure to comply with a police officer.
The good thing is they are all misdemeanors so they shouldn't have any long-term repercussions. He has been suspended--along with fellow linebacker Serderius Bryant--and will probably face some kind of sanction from the team when all is said and done.
Without knowing the details of the incident it is hard to say for certain, but this sounds like something that has happened to thousands of college kids, but since they are not football players it doesn't make the news cycle.
That being said, these guys should know better because the spotlight is on them. Does that mean they can't be normal college kids? Absolutely not; they just have to be smarter about it.
Nkemdiche sent out a tweet related to his charges, but it has since been deleted:
Hopefully I won't be judged by the exaggerated claims of how I acted on my 21st birthday. I still know what's important in life..God got me.
