It is something that you always here, but more often than not it sounds hollow--it ain't over till it's over. If you've ever played in an organized league of any sorts you've heard it on your own sideline if not the other team's. However, there are plenty of times where it certainly looks over even though it isn't.
Wednesday night was not one of those times for the Nittany Lions men's basketball team.
With about three minutes to go and down by 11 the road back would be tough but not impossible. The team had to make plays on offense and shut the Hoosiers down as much as possible. There was certainly no room for mistakes.
Which is good--since they didn't make any.
Indiana's last jumper came at the 5:16 mark. Down the stretch they only had five free throws. Bit by but the Nittany Lions chipped away at the lead until they were down by just one with 12 seconds to play.
Six seconds later thanks to a lay-up by Tim Frazier that changed.
Final Score: Penn State 66 Indiana 65
