Rick Pitino and the Louisville Cardinals Not Shaving Till They Lose

It is not an uncommon practice. Many have done it and many will likely try to do it again. I'm talking about growing rally beards. With a tough stretch up ahead Louisville head coach Rick Pitino has decided it's time for his boys to do it.

Yes Mom and Dad. Your boys are growing beards.

After destroying Temple Friday night Pitino spoke to the media and said that he and the team were not going to shave until they lose (via WDRB):
"I wanted to let them have some fun," Pitino said. "I said look guys, when we were on our run last year, Luke grew a beard, and I've never done that, let's see how many colors I can get on my face and let's all grow a beard until we lose. And everybody's doing it right now. Mine is coming in gray, I don't like that. What is that thing called, Hair for Men? I may have to get some of that. … I hope I am stuck with this. I'd love to have this like last year. I'll grow it down to my knees if we just keep winning."
With seven games left and four of them against rankled opponents winning and keeping their razor blades at bay is going to b easier said thane done. Rutgers and USF should not be much of a challenge for the No. 13 team in the nation.

Down the stretch they face four ranked opponents in five games--No. 10 Cincinnati (2/22), No. 20 Memphis (3/1), No. 23 SMU (3/5), and No. 24 Connecticut (3/8). UConn is the only one they will be playing at home.

The team's last loss came against Cincinnati on January 30.
