Texas A&M to Have Largest Jumbtron in College Football When Kyle Field is Done

Texas A&M is ready to prove once again that everything is bigger (and better) in Texas. The school has released some images of the new video board that is going to be installed at Kyle Field during the renovations, and it is going to be big.

Not just big--the biggest in college football!

The video board is expected to be twice the size of the old one at 47 feet tall and 163 feet wide (7661 square feet). While it is not as tall (55.5 feet) as the one at Darrel K. Royal Stadium (home of the Texas Longhorns) it is a lot longer (134 feet) making it over 200 square feet bigger.

Texas did hold the mark for the largest video board, but will move down to second place once Texas A&M finishes it.

At the conclusion of last season's final home game the school immediately began renovations on Kyle Field, and is not sparing a dime in its efforts to make it one of the best stadiums in the country. When the $450 million project is complete it will have the largest capacity of any school in the SEC and the third largest in the nation at 106,511 (up from 82,589).
