Denver Broncos Stay in the Super Bowl Hunt With Emmanuel Sanders Signing

After watching Eric Decker sign with the New York Jets fans of the Denver Broncos had to be a little concerned. Peyton Manning is not getting any younger, and if he is going to lead the team back to the promise land again he needs to have a full arsenal of weapons at his disposal. Losing Decker was certainly a big negative.

It appears that they've taken care of that with the signing of Emmanuel Sanders.

Last season was his most productive as a pro with 67 receptions for 740 yards and six touchdowns. It may seem kind of disappointing since he was in Todd Haley's pass friendly offense, but he was also battling a foot injury.

Looking at his body of work Sanders is a good wide receiver (not great). His speed helps make him a solid deep threat, and with Peyton Manning throwing to him the Broncos will likely put that speed to use often.

Peyton and the offense will have the Broncos in contention again next season, but if they are going to win the Super Bowl the defense is going to need some work. So far they've done plenty with Demarcus Ware, Aqib Talib, and T.J. Ward added in just the first week of free agency.

Will it be enough? Can Peyton Manning work his magic once again? Will the defense be able to step and shut down some of the top offenses in the league?

We'll find out in a few months (yeah, I can't wait either).
