March Madness: Albany Earns Right to Get Slaughtered by Florida With Win Over Mount St. Mary's

Making the Dance as a No. 16 seed has to be great, but bittersweet all at the same time. You made it (great), but that means you are more than likely going to be destroyed by one of the best teams in the nation in the Round of 64 (bittersweet).

After beating Mount St. Mary's in Tuesday night's tournament opener (71-64), Albany will have the honor of being the first victim of the No. 1 seed of the tournament--Florida.

The 'First Four' should be all 16 seed teams. That way these guys can walk away having been competitive and victorious in one game. Yes, I know that there have been some 16-seeds in the past that pushed No. 1s to the limit, but they still lost.

Give them a chance at more than just being glad to be there NCAA.

Besides, it doesn't make sense that two teams have to play for the right to be a No. 11 and No. 12 seed. If there are two teams good enough to be called an 11-seed than one should be the No. 11 and the other the No. 12 (and No. 12 and 13 for the 12-seed game).

It's only right NCAA. Let the better teams play.
