Last season was almost exactly what John Elway envisioned when he talked Peyton Manning to bring his considerable talents to Denver--with the exception of the meltdown in the Super Bowl of course. Denver lost in humiliating fashion, but it proved one thing. They have a winning formula in place.
The trick is bringing the right offensive tool back and upgrading the defense so it can take a little pressure off the offense. Oh--and Peyton Manning's neck has to be okay still.

Manning has a huge red flag in his neck. With two seasons in the books since his last surgery there is no reason to believe he is not perfectly fine, but on Monday the team will be testing him anyway. If he is medically cleared he gets another huge payday ($20 million I believe). If he doesn't the team can cut him loose and save a ton of money.
It should be a formality, but when it comes to a 37-year old quarterback you never know.
