When the Tar Heels took the court Monday night against Notre Dame it was supposed to be an easy game. The Fighting Irish are below .500 overall and near the bottom of the ACC 6-12. The No. 14 Tar Heels should not have had any trouble with Notre Dame.
But they did.
North Carolina did not have any trouble in the first half outscoring Notre Dame, 41-27, but that was not the case in the second as the Fighting Irish opened the second with a 17-3 run to tie the game up at 44-44 just five minutes in to the half!
So while the Tar Heels fans may have been expecting an easy one what they got was one heck of a game. In the end it came down to Marcus Paige making a play when the team needed him to most of all.
