Playoff Picture Should Be Clear For the Houston Rockets by Time the Ides of March Pass

Caesar was told to beware the Ides of March, but for the Houston Rockets it could mean a lot more clarity to the playoff picture.

If the playoffs were to start prior to Saturday’s match up with the Detroit Pistons the Houston Rockets would be the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference—a definite step up from fighting down to the wire to be the No. 8 seed the last few seasons.

The addition of Dwight Howard to the roster was expected to have at least that much off an effect, but as the end of the season draws near the question has to be asked—just how good are these guys? If you ask Clippers Head Coach Doc Rivers they are much better than they were at the start of the season.

“They’re really good,” Rivers said. “They’re so much better on film than they were early in the year when you watch them. I just think they didn’t know who they were.....
