Rory McIlroy is likely kicking himself after leading all weekend at the Honda Classic and losing in the end, but when you don't make more shots than the next guy you can't expect to walk away victorious.
Russell Henley---well, he simply made more shots.
The contenders all had trouble of their own on Sunday and made a bad play down the stretch, but when all was said and done McIlroy, Henley, Ryan Palmer, and Russell Knox all finished with 8-under with a 272 to force a playoff hole.
McIlroy barely made par. Palmer missed a 10-foot putt for birdie. Knox missed a 20-foot putt for birdie. Since Henley was able to hit the green in two he was able to two-putt for birdie and the win.
