Want to See Russell Wilson Playing Some Baseball With the Texas Rangers? [VIDEO]

Fans are already well aware that Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson played a couple years in the minors before going back to college and taking up football. After winning the Super Bowl it is pretty safe to say that he is not going to be picking up a bat anytime soon, but that didn't stop the Texas Rangers from selecting him in the Rule 5 Minor League Draft.

Why would they do it? Fantastic preseason publicity of course!

The team says they wanted to bring him to talk to and relate to some of the younger players. Umm...okay. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the sale of Russell Wilson merchandise and the buzz a Super Bowl QB brings wherever he goes.

It's a little foolish for the Seahawks to let him go to spring training and participate in drills (injury concern), but it's over and down with. He's heading back to Seattle already.

He didn't look bad though (he's playing second)....
