Former NFL Great Hershel Walker Not Impressed With Running Back by 'Choir Section'

Former NFL running back Hershel Walker does not sound like he's crazy about today's running backs. Back in his day there was one guy that ran the ball unless he was injured or the team was up big late in the game. Nowadays coaches use running backs more like chess pieces putting the right guy in the right situations.

Or as Hershel calls it sending in the choir section.

This is what he had to say to USAToday about today's running backs:
“I can play in the NFL today,” Walker insisted to USA TODAY Sports. “I couldn’t take every snap. But running backs nowadays don’t play every down. Now they send in the choir section.
“Physically, I can still do it.
He was a beat back in his day, but the man is 52. He's not like most 52 ear olds though. An MMA fighter with a 2-0 record, he is probably in better shape now than he was back than. Since he wouldn't do more than a few plays at a time.....

Lucky for him he is associated more with the Cowboys than any of the other teams he played for. If there is an owner crazy enough to give a 52-year old a shot it would be Jerry Jones.
