Nebraska Spring Game Stars a Man and His Cat [VIDEO]

Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini is not known for smiling. He is not known for his pleasant demeanor or for joking around a lot (although he did have a good prank on his guys prior to last season). Challenge him; threaten his job and he'll throw your threats right back at you.

But for some reason when it comes to the man and his cat he's just a great big softy.

The spring game is a time when the coaching staff can see players in action (sort of; when you are playing yourself you are only going to go so hard). It's a time for fans to get a football fix and for everyone to basically have some fun.

Bo Pelini had some funny Saturday.

At a moment when the adrenaline is flowing, the intensity is at a high, and players and coaches alike are dying to get on the field and play Pelini was--well, he was holding his cat. As he, his cat, and the team exited the tunnel to the thunderous applause of thousands of fans you'll never guess what he did.

No, the team didn't charge out on to the field. No fireworks either. He raised his cat up high (really; he did).
