Nick Saban's First Pitch Was Better Than Nolan Ryan's and Jim Thome's [VIDEO]

This time of year we tend to see a lot of celebrities and athletes from other sports get the chance to show off their baseball skills. Some might get the chance to take batting practice with a team, but for the most part they are invited to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Some of them end up sucking pretty bad. Some have actually thrown pretty good pitches, but most probably qualify as alright.

So how would you qualify Nick Saban's pitch?

Saban got to throw out the ceremonial first pitch for Friday's game of a three-game series against his hated rival--Auburn. His pitch was alright; at least he got it in the vicinity of the plate (unlike Nolan Ryan and Jim Thome).



The 'Bama baseball team ended up dropping Friday's game to Auburn, but went on to win the series 2-1.
