WATCH: Inaugural Grand Prix of Indianapolis Starts With Wreck After Pole Sitter Stalls

Have you ever been at a red light and right when it turned green your call stalls? Even though you are sitting in the safe, relative comfort of your vehicle it is kind of embarrassing, huh? Now imagine that you are the pole sitter for the first Grand Prix of Indianapolis and that happens.

Yeah--embarrassment is the least of your worries.

That was how the day went for Sebastian Saavedra. He will have the distinction of having won the pole for the first Grand Prix of Indianapolis, but he'll have to wait till next year to actually drive in the race.

His car stalled right when the race started. Ryan Hunter-Reay was able to miss him, but Carlos Munoz clipped him and Mikhail Aleshin nailed him pretty hard.

The good thing is in spite of how bad the wreck looked everyone was able to walk away unhurt.
