Rumors have bee swirling of late about the Miami Heat preparing to make a run at Carmelo Anthony when he becomes a free agent. To lure him to South Beach taking pay cuts would be required of the current Big Three--who took less in order to be where they are--but for some reason the rumor mill thinks Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and LeBron James would do it again in order to keep winning NBA titles.
After watching Game Four Thursday night allow me to present another scenario--the Big Three will remain three. It will just have a different member.

Thursday night he simply didn't look good. He was stagnant on the court at time looking more like a spectator than a player as little as he moved. When he did try to get going against Kawhi Leonard he was pretty much shut down.

But Leonard is the future of the team and a youngster; he should be pretty darn good. Well--than how do you explain Boris Diaw running circles around him?

Wade has notoriously bad knees. They are why Lance Stephenson said he was going to make Wade run in hopes they'd flare up. Where Lance failed it appears like the Spurs have not.
Supporters will try to rationalize Thursday night's performance as an anomaly, but the fact are this--he is 32, his
production has been declining, and he has never played a full season. Last year he played in just 54 games.
Wade isn't worth the money anymore. Maybe he'll take a pay cut so he can stay anyway. With Anthony added to the mix the potential of the team would be intriguing--but that's a pretty big maybe. If he doesn't the team may be forced to say good bye.
